Job Description

Working closely with the Curator of African Art at the Yale University Art Gallery, this graduate-level position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and design of the upcoming special exhibition “Nguni: Migrant Nations of Southeast Africa,” on view from September 2026 through June 2027. A key component of the role will involve assisting with the creation of a comprehensive family tree and historical timeline to be published in the exhibition catalogue and presented as an essential interpretive element within the exhibition itself.

Job Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in the history of art and be able to commit to a ten-hour-per-week work schedule. Strict attention to detail is required. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and follow instructions carefully.
