Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Yale student to assist with digitizing paper documents from the Ichthyosis Registry in the Choate Lab. This role involves scanning physical clinical and research records, organizing and labeling digital files, and ensuring accurate, high-quality electronic documentation. The position plays an important role in maintaining a secure research infrastructure and supporting ongoing dermatology and genetic research initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in clinical research, dermatology, genetics, or health data management to gain exposure to rare disease research.

Job Requirements

 

  1. Must own a personal laptop
  2. Ability to assess scan quality (clarity, completeness, correct orientation)
  3. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  4. Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  5. Comfort handling sensitive clinical/research documents in compliance with HIPAA standards
  6. Availability to work on-site in the Choate Lab i.e. Hunter Building (15 York Street)
Compensation $17.50/hour
Job Level CY26: Level II
Hours 10.0 to 19.0 hours per week
