Job Description

The Middle Eestern and North African Cultural Community (MENACC) is a cultural space on campus that reports to the Yale College Dean's office. It is an institutional resource for students, working in partnership with faculty, staff and community members to convene and explore the cultural, historical, political, and social dimensions of the Middle Eastern and North African community. 

The Undergraduate Student Coordinator (USC) will support the MENACC in connecting Yale students to the suite through programming, outreach and community building efforts in collaboration with other fellow staff and campus partners. The USC will have the opportuntity to rank the teams in order of preference on their letter of interest, though final assignments will be determined based on the needs of MENACC.

  • Communications Team
  • Political Action & Education Team
  • History Heritage & Traditions Team
  • Mental Health & Wellness Team
Job Requirements

The successful applicant must possess strong oral and written communication skills as well as organizational and analytical abilities. They should have a demonstrated ability to work well with diverse groups of people and possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and coordinate events.

 

The MENACC Undergraduate Student Coordinator will work approximately 5 -7 hours per week. Required attendance will include: Center Staff Meetings (Fridays 4 pm - 5 pm), 2026 Fall Retreat (Monday, August 31st), and 2026 Spring Trainings (Date TBD). All other days and times to work are negotiable and will be determined a few weeks into the start of the semester. Please note, federal work-study for this position is highly preferred. MUST be able to work for the 2026-2027 academic year.
