Job Description

 

This part-time (15 hours) hybrid Research Assistant will serve as a core operational partner within a dynamic, grant-funded research portfolio focused on global health, implementation science, and clinical and public health outcomes. The position will support multiple ongoing studies led by the Principal Investigator and will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of the day-to-day research operations, including coordinating calls and providing a summary of meeting notes and action items; assisting with IRB and regulatory submissions; and preparing progress reports. The Research Assistant manage scheduling of the research team and documentation, serve as a liaison with domestic and international research collaborations, and ensure that timelines, deliverables, and compliance requirements are met with precision and consistency. The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiples tasks across concurrent projects while working both independently and collaboratively in a fast passed academic environment. This role requires a proactive, highly organized individual who will anticipate project needs, track progress, resolve administrative barriers, and ensure that no tasks fall through the cracks, contributing directly to the efficiency, integrity, and impact of the research enterprise. 

 

Job Requirements

 

1) Exceptional attention to detail and organization precisions, with demonstrated ability to track complex study tasks, deadlines, and deliverables across multiples concurrent grants.

2) Strong competence in preparing and supporting IRB submissions, regulatory documentation, and grant-related administrative materials.

3) Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to synthesize scientific information for reports and presentations and to liaise effectively with collaborators and research partners.

4) Ability to work independently in a fast-paced research environment anticipate project needs, resolve operational barriers, and ensure consistent follow-through.
