Job Description
The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) at Yale University is seeking two dynamic and motivated Graduate International Community Outreach Fellows to join our team for academic year 2026-27. This role is designed to enhance the social and community-building experience for Yale's international student and scholar community by planning and executing social activities throughout the academic year. As a Graduate International Community Outreach Fellow, you will work closely with the OISS Associate Director of Engagement, Assessment, and Operations, and collaborate with other team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for international students and scholars.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a fellow Graduate International Community Outreach Fellow to plan and execute one or two social and community-building events each month (September-May) for Yale's international community, with support from the OISS Associate Director of Engagement, Assessment, and Operations.
  • Create and advertise events on Yale Connect, manage event communications, and ensure timely updates on the platform.
  • Potentially lead one of the daily English Conversation Groups for beginner and intermediate ESL learners.
  • Work alongside Outreach & Support Fellows to effectively advertise your events and increase participation.
  • Assist in other OISS programs, including day trips, large community events, and orientation programs as needed.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to set goals, review progress, and strategize on upcoming events and initiatives.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Current graduate or professional student
  • Ability to work 8-10 hours a week
  • Proven experience in event planning, community engagement, or related roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Yale Connect or similar event management platforms is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic about contributing to the international community at Yale.
Compensation $25.00/hour
