The successful applicant must possess strong oral and written communication skills as well as organizational and analytical abilities. They should have a demonstrated ability to work well with diverse groups of people and possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and coordinate academically focused, co-curricular events. A demonstrated interest in Middle Eastern and North African history, current affairs, and prominent issues is preferred. The MENACC Graduate Assistant will need to work approximately 10-15 hours per week, with the position requiring evening and occasional weekend shifts. Required attendance will include: Center Staff Meetings (Wednesdays 6 pm - 7pm), 2025 Fall Retreat (Date TBD), and 2026 Spring Trainings (Date TBD). All other days and times to work are negotiable and will be determined a few weeks into the start of the semester. Please note, federal work-study for this position is highly preferred.
