Some ushers will be scanning tickets at guests' entrances on Commencement morning or assigned crowd control responsibilities; others will lead processions of students to their seats and assist with student seating. Still others will dispense information, programs, or physical assistance. All ushers are needed for: Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 4:00pm - 5:00pm for Commencement Usher Training Sunday, May 18, from 7:00 am to 11:30 am for Baccalaureate Old Campus Sunday, May 18, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for ClassDay exercises on Old Campus Monday, May 19, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for Commencement exercises on Old Campus Ushers will be expected to arrive at each of the locations before their start time and remain at the location afterward. Ushers are not needed for the residential college diploma ceremonies that follow the Commencement ceremony on Old Campus. You will be able to attend your college's diploma ceremony if you would like to. Ushers will be hired on a rolling basis. You will be notified once a decision has been made regarding your application. In addition to working during Commencement and atone or more assigned events, all ushers are expected to attend all mandatory trainings beginning in early May. Ushers will be paid at their hourly rate for attending training sessions. Please note, Hiring take be on a rolling basis and end on April 15th. |
