Job Description

We seek a motivated and creative student front-end web developer to join our team. The successful candidate will help improve the Open OnDemand web applications developed at the Center for Neurocomputation and Machine Intelligence of the Wu Tsai Institute. 
Job Requirements

Primary Duties

  • Collaborate with the Center staff to improve Open OnDemand web applications' visual and interactive elements. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues and bugs.

  • Assist in website testing, including usability and accessibility.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled, full-time undergraduate student at Yale

  • Familiarity with Python or Ruby

  • Experience with C/C++ and/or Java 

  • Experience with front-end web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript

 

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Sinatra, React, Vue.js, or Angular 

  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, D3, Plotly.js

  • Proficiency with at least two programming languages from Python, Ruby, C/C++, and Java

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and on a team

  • Desire to learn and improve
