Job Description

The research assistant will support Dr. Hawley's ongoing maternal and child health and non-communicable disease-focused research in Samoa. The role will include assisting with community engagement efforts (creating recruitment/outreach materials, website content & outcome dissemination) and supporting the development of new project protocols (developing questionnaires and training materials, building REDCap surveys, and assisting with IRB review). There will also be opportunity to pursue research projects within the student's interests (systematic reviews, existing data projects).

Job Requirements

Excellent written communication skills, interest in community engaged research methods, basic quantitative and qualitative skills. Ideally, the candidate would have some knowledge of Pacific Islander health and/or experience in the region.

Compensation $16.75/hour
Job Level FY24: Level III
Hours 10.0 to 19.0 hours per week
