Job Description

The successful candidate will assist with updating an existing MATLAB neuroscience toolbox to work with the latest version of the NEURON simulator. NEURON (https://nrn.readthedocs.io) is a widely-used simulator for neurons and networks of neurons. Connections between MATLAB and NEURON are via MATLAB's C++ interface, clib. The main task is to replace the use of internal, undocumented functions in the existing toolbox with calls to NEURON’s new API functions.

Opportunities exist to continue to other NEURON development tasks and into the summer.

Job Requirements

Familiarity with MATLAB and C++. Interest in neuroscience or experience connecting MATLAB to C++ would be a plus, but is not required. Work is expected to occur mostly in-person to allow for team science and rapid problem solving.
