Job Description

Yale Hospitality is seeking a current Yale student with advanced digital photography skills to support the marketing team. Applicants must be able to capture Yale Hospitality events, which sometimes require working different hours than a typical desk job. As it pertains to this role, some months of the year may be busier than others, so this role is best suited for an individual able to work independently when other team members may be at capacity in their areas. Many of the projects are event photography, but styled shoots (plated food or professional portraits) are also part of the job. A departmental DSLR is available for responsible use. Sometimes video coverage is needed.

Attend Yale Hospitality events to capture photos and sometimes video footage as well

Photograph dining/ cooking scenes, events, and various projects with the primary end goal of digital use (website, social media, digital displays, etc.)

Balance the ability to follow specific shot list requirements and creative direction, while leveraging your creative style to capture innovative and engaging content to tell the full story

Edit photographs as needed to enhance natural beauty of subjects and scenes

Share final/ edited photographs in a timely manner, accessible by team members for review and download or feedback
