Job Description	The job is a wide range of tasks including, but not limited to, the following: Performing a variety of skilled animal care duties Performing various procedures and skilled observation of animal conditions Taking care of lab animals to help research work Maintaining accurate records of animal breeding, health, and housing Strictly following all procedures necessary to maintain animal housing areas Unpacking delivery boxes (reagents and supplies), sorting materials to their correct places, and notifying the lab members about their arrival Inventory management and ordering supply items Decontaminating work areas as designated Helping maintain, clean and organize the work area Using various laboratory computer systems for labeling Disposing of biohazardous and chemical waste and remove biohazard boxes to pick up stations Autoclaving, dishwashing, preparing of basic lab solutions, and other similar general laboratory maintenance tasks Following all PPE requirements Hours are flexible the job is at west campus will compensate for travel time
Job Requirements	Having an interest in science. Having a strong attention to detail. Thriving in working on a team and an ability to coordinate with others. Comfortable in asking questions and providing feedback. A minimum of one year’s experience in animal care is helpful for this position.
Compensation	$15.75/hour
Job Level	FY24: Level I
Hours	20.0 hours per week
