Job Description

Join the Yale Clinical Neuroscience NeuroAnalytics (YNN) research group and help us develop a high resolution human brain atlas, called the Yale Brain Atlas, as a tool for surgical decision. Student investigators will help populate a database with clinical and demographic information, perform analysis, and display data and analysis results on the brain atlas. Students are expected to help with the formulation and implementation of analysis approaches and the development of new questions on epilepsy and functional neurosurgery. Opportunities will be provided to submit abstracts to national scientific meetings and participate in the preparation of research manuscripts. This position is best suited for students considering graduate studies in neuroscience, data science, biomedical engineering or medicine. We provide mentorship on these career pathways. We prefer long-term engagement with our research group, as this leads to the possibility of independent research led by the student investigator.

Job Requirements
The student investigator must be able to analyze multimodal data, compile clinical and research information, add fields and information to the database being developed, and develop, display and analyze complex neuroanatomical and physiological information on a 3D reconstruction of the human brain. Quantitative analysis skills, programming skills, and knowledge of Python, R or MATLAB are all strengths for this position. The research tasks delegated to the student investigator will be matched to the skills and experience of the applicant.
