Job Description

A student programmer position is available immediately to help us advance leading edge brain research by enhancing the power of the NEURON simulator to study chemical and electrical dynamics. NEURON (nrn.readthedocs.io) is used by neuroscientists around the world to model nerve cells and neural circuits (see tinyurl.com/usednrn). Its computational core is written in C and C++, and user interactivity is primarily through Python. The student will write test code, bug fixes, documentation, and assist with paper publication.

Job Requirements

Expertise in Python and C++. Familiarity with biology and calculus concepts.

Compensation $17.50/hour
Job Level CY25: Level II
Hours 5.0 to 19.0 hours per week
