Founded in 1901 by graduates of Yale University, the Yale-China Association is a non-profit organization that bridges American and Chinese cultures by creating lasting, transformative partnerships and experiences in health, education, and the arts. Yale-China is at the forefront of US-China health exchanges and works with leading institutions in both countries. The Yale-China Association seeks to hire a part-time Health Program Intern from Yale graduate students. Reporting to the Director of Health Programs, the Program Intern will assist the implementation of Yale-China health programs in China and in New Haven. This internship is an ideal opportunity for students interested in learning about the frontline practices of nonprofit management, Chinese culture and health policies, and/or global health collaboration. It offers a stipend at the rate of $17 per hour. The intern is expected to work from November 2024 to May 2025 for 8-10 hours per week during the regular academic calendar, with possibility of extension. Responsibilities Assist the implementation of work plans for on-going health projects. Support the drafting of program reports, briefs, presentations, and papers, including English to Chinese and Chinese to English translation and interpretation. Support the planning of meetings/events/conferences with Yale-China partners in the US and in China and make travel plans and logistical arrangements related to such events. Support recruitment and selection of health fellows and scholarship recipients, orientation and training, and project implementation. Support the health fellows’ academic and life experiences in the US. Support various health-related activities including, but not limited to, organizing data collection and entry, taking meeting notes, and coordinating events. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor. |
